About Us

Paul Hegley is the Director of Lushland, he is highly trained in arboriculture and horticulture with over 30 years experience.

Having worked for 6 local authorities within Kent, Surrey and Berkshire from 1986 to the present day, Paul Hegley is multi tasked and experienced in both the practical and academic sides of arboriculture and horticulture. He holds the BTec National Diploma in Arboriculture and the BTec National Certificate in Horticulture. Paul is also a professional Lantra qualified tree inspector.

In addition to professional qualifications, Paul Hegley is currently on the committee of the SE Branch of the Arboricultural Association of which he is also an associate member. The Arboricultural Association is the national body for arboriculture in the UK. Paul is also certificated in the use of pesticides and all chainsaw operations to National Proficiency Test Council (NPTC) Standards  qualifying him to oversee tree surgery works.

While training, Paul Hegley achieved second place in the Arboricultural Association SE Branch skills competition (1991) and as a team member, received a Silver Gilt Medal at the Chelsea Flower Show for designing and building a courtyard garden (1989).
